WHO RULES THE ROOST?

It was downright funny yet ridicolous watching the prize presentation ceremony of the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup last Sunday.

An SMS was dispatched to MHC Senior Vice President Dato Nur Azmi Ahmad asking him if there were changes in the structure as Azmi and another Senior VP Dr. Shamala Subramaniam were seated in the second row, with the paid Secretary of MHC in the front row with the VVIP's.

Such a thing should never have happened and if one traces back the roles of the past Secretaries, right from when I can remember, Dato G. Vijaynathan, K. Indran, S. Prempalam, S. Satgunam, T. Paramalingam, Hashim Mohd Yusof and Maninderjit Singh, such a situation never arose as they always placed elected office bearers at the forefront.

One could blame the protocol section and whoever, but the buck stops with the administrators of hockey - those paid staff should know where their place is.

If one wants to assume the role of the office bearers, then just wait till the AGM and contest the position, not pull the rug beneath them.

Whatever said and done, Azmi, to be fair does his fair share of running around and was the most senior MHC official present at the final, and should have, or rather must be given the due recognition he deserves. Respect his position as he won fair and square at the AGM.

It is clear that Perak HA has no regard towards protocol and such an action shows that maybe there was a hidden agenda with the MHC elections coming soon

By the way, a word of advice to the Secretary, going by records, your term comes to an end on April 8 and you have been passing remarks that no one talks to me these days. oh well lets see when the crown that your wear so proudly on your head is taken off, will you be as "popular" as you claim you are?

Be god fearing please if you understand what life is, or you can behave like the goon who goes around threatening people who will soon get his just reward.

CHAMPIONS CHALLENGE FIXTURES

Malaysia will compete in the Champions Challenge in Kuantan next month. We are publishing the fixtures as the MHC and Pahang HA have been awfully quiet on this, perhaps keeping things for a big press conference when really this type of information should be readily available to their website, that has been in a long slumber

MHC OWES MONEY TO KIDS

There is an official of MHC that now claims that he was a macho and almost punched me on the day of the MJHL final.

It was because I questioned how MHC officials were donning attire meant for the Technical Officials of the MJHL and he claimed that the MHC used their own money for that purpose.

So since you are so macho, how is it that the poor ball puckers of the MJHL were not even given a T Shirt for their three months of service and at times were drenched in rain, no masks for the haze and worst of all not paid?

Each ball picker was to receive RM10 per match and from January till today they have yet to see a single cent of their earnings?

Explain that before going around talking about punching people lah. Or is it all those in hospital with broken limbs are there due to your physical ability?

Today's friends are those who back stabbed you two years ago and it was this guy whose late mother you insulted that pleaded with Tengku Abdullah to reinstate you when your current kissing cousins three you out and kept the door shut.

Withholding results and information so as to show your power will get you nowhere but put you closer to destruction.

Oh yes punch me if you dare please as I also know that our country has law, and implements it, unlike those who you work for that run lawless competitions

KEDAH WIN, SELANGOR IMPRESS

Kedah Sports Council carved out a slim 1-0 win over Selangor Sports Schol in the Women's League at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil last night. But there was penny of drama off the pitch in a game that was highly entertaining as both teams played free flowing hockey.

UiTM OFF TO A WINNING START

It was not their best performance but UiTM Lions in making their debut at national club level competitions played well enough to defeat Johor Baru City Council (MBJB) 4-0 at the National Hockey Stadium.

After a rather hesitant start, UiTM who led 1-0 at halftime went on to add another three goals in the second half to collect all three points.
