KELANTAN WALK OUT

The National Under 16 Tournament was marred by a walkout by the Kelantan boys team in their match against Malacca.

The walkout occurred nine minutes from time when a Kelantan player was red carded.

He then attempted to attack the umpire but was restrained by his teammates.

A spectator then walked onto the pitch and is said to have slapped a Kelantan player before ordering the team to the changing room.

They then refused to continue the match.

Tournament Director A. Vinod will hold a meeting to discuss the walkout tonight.

According to the rules Kelantan will be thrown out of the tournament, their previous matches nullified and will be referred to the MHC Disciplinary Board.
