KLHC ARE CHAMPIONS
KL Hockey Club emerged champions of the
TNB Cup when they defeated Tenaga Nasional Berhad 3-0 at the National
Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil. The match was delayed by 90 minutes due
to rain but when it got underway KLHC showed why they were the best club
side in the country as it was their third consecutive double, having
won the league and cup double since 2010.
TNB were a pale shadow of the team that
played in the league and their game plan went to tatters as KLHC scored
two goals in the opening 12 minutes. As such the match failed to live up
to expectations as the heavy pitch and delayed start somewhat affected
the mood of both teams.
