TENGKU ABDULLAH DENIES APPOINTMENTS

Statements made by some officials of the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) of late are made in their individual capacity and not reflective of the stand of the national hockey body.

This was the response of the MHC President Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah in response to an email sent by this blogger to seek clarification on the appointment of a national coach for the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup.

Below is the statement by Tengku Abdullah via email to this blogger.

"Thank you. All will be sorted out when I'm back. Any statements on any appointments are made on personal basis and are not endorsed by MHC management board. So I will be seeking view from all members. Thank you."

(Note by blogger :anyone seeking to use the above quote should credit the blog).

Of late there has been statements made that Tai Beng Hai has been retained and also on other matters related to the national team.

The MHC will be holding their Council Meeting on Tuesday April 10 in Kuala Lumpur and the viewpoints of the members will be taken into consideration before decisions are made by Tengku Abdullah not only on the national team but also on the General Secretary position vacated by Maninderjit Singh who left to pursue further studies as stated in his resignation latter.

By issuing such a statement, Tengku Abdullah has put a lid on speculations as well as denied that a decision has been made, this casting doubts that the team is to assemble to undergo training next week as reported earlier this week.
